Thanks to a $51,000 grant from a Philadelphia Funder Collaborative for the Semiquincentennial, the Friends of Washington Crossing Park has added a full-time interpretive programs specialist to its ranks, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
Alex Robb will assist the organization with the design and implementation of its new educational program that will focus on the unique military history of the park as Friends of Washington Crossing Park prepares for the Semiquincentennial celebration in 2026.
Robb, who graduated from The College of New Jersey with a bachelor’s degree in history and education, has participated in historical reenactments for the last six years. He took part in Washington Crossing Historic Park programs on a volunteer basis. He also helped with the annual Memorial Day Program and field trip programs at the site.
